Resource Centre

CASP mainly works in the areas of child development, rural development, leprosy, HIV/AIDS and other health areas, ageing, empowerment of women, rehabilitation, awareness creation through media desk etc. CASP has more than 4,000 books / reports / magazines in its library.
In order to make best use of the available information, CASP has established a separate division called `Resource Centre.
Its objectives are:
1. To maintain a database of social welfare organizations
2. To cater to the information and related service needs of CASP Units and CASP-PLAN Projects on developmental subjects with focus on child, family and community in sectors of health, education, rights of children.
3. To provide the necessary database support to the Media Desk
4. To make available all books, periodicals, reports, maps, CDs, video films on the concerned subjects.
5. To prepare bibliographies on these subjects and keep them continuously updated.
6. Networking with other libraries at the local, national and international levels.
7. To interact with national, international and multilateral agencies working in these areas.
8. To maintain the latest reference material in terms of newspaper / magazine clippings and photo library
9. To prepare directory of important agencies in the subject areas concerned.
10. To co-ordinate with other NGOs working in the fields of child development, health, ageing etc. to create integrated information system.
