CASP Mumbai Unit has implemented various activities for child, family and community development in the area of health, education, resource and skill development and community development during the period under report.
The details are as follows :-
Community Development Activities :-
I ) Day care centre for Sr. Citizens :
CASP Mumbai Unit had runs two Day Care Centres for Sr.Citizens with the generous support of Bombay Community Public Trust, Mumbai and A.C.International Child Support, Denmark.
Day Care Centre for 45 Sr.Citrizens at Sai Baba Temple Hall, Near Golphadevi Temple, Worli Koliwada, Mumbai
Day Care Centre for 35 Sr.Citizens at Indira Gandhi Mahila Vikas Kendra, Marol PipeLine, J.B.Nagar, Andheri
The main objectives of these activities were :
To maintain the normal health of Senior Citizens,
To provide psychological support to Senior Citizens
To update their general knowledge from time to time
A) Day Care Centre for Sr.Citizens at Worli Koliwada :
Bombay Community Public Trust (BCPT) Mumbai had provided the funds to CASP Mumbai Unit to implement the project of Day Care Centre for 45 Senior Citizens at Worli Koliwada, Mumbai :-
During the period under report, the following activities were implemented :-
i ) Activity : Daily Refreshment programme for Sr.Citizens
Objective : To refresh the Sr. Citizens from their routine life
The daily programmes like Yoga, Daily prayer, indoor games, music, bhajans etc. were regularly conducted for Sr.Citizens and Sr.Citizens enjoyed these activities throughout the year. A resource person Smt.Shilpa Joshi had provided the information to the beneficiaries about various news paper articles, information about national leaders, religious festivals, mythological stories, stories from Panchratna etc .It enables the Sr. Citizens to update their general knowledge. A resource person also explained about importantance of physical rest for any human beings. Resource person also emphasized the advantages and disadvantages of rest through her session.
ii) Activity : Yoga sessions
Objective : To improve the physical and mental health of Sr.Citizens
In order to achieve the above objective, Yoga sessions were also organized and conducted regularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the period under report. It has been reported by the beneficiaries that they are practicing Yoga every day at home i.e. Gayatri Mantra, Om Mantra etc. Most of the beneficiaries observed that they become fresh and active during the day and also found that most of them recovered or overcame from breathing problem, headache, joint pain, backache etc.
b ) Nutrition Programme :
Activity : To provide nutritious diet to Sr. Citizens
Objective : To maintain the health of the Sr. Citizens.
Considering the above mentioned objective, Nutrition programme for Sr.Citizens was initiated through Community kitchen. The nutritional diet was provided every day as prescribed by the dietitian for a week i.e. Paratha, Upma, Poha, Sheera, Sweet Lapsi, Dal Vada, Dokla, Sandwitch, and one cup of tea . It was found through medical check-up that all Sr.Citizens maintained normal health during the period under report.
Health check-up programme :
CASP Mumbai Unit has made a tie up with K.E.M.hospital and N G O called HelpAge India and the efforts have been made to sustain health activity during the period under report. In all total 17 Sr.Citizens were regularly visiting K E M hospital for their check-ups of Osteoporosis, blood pressure, blood sugar etc. The beneficiaries have received Rs.100/- as conveyance from their residence to Hospital and back. A Mobile Health Clinic of Help Age India visited the Centre twice in a month i.e. alternate Monday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and provided the health services to Sr.Citizens. It has been observed that Sr.Citizens were quite happy with health services during the period under report.
B) Special Activities :
1) Acivity : Diwali Sneha Sammelan
Objective : To provide the entertainment by celebrating the festivals
Taking into consideration of above mentioned objective, we had organized a get together programme for Sr.Citizens in the eve of Diwali festival.. The Centre was decorated with traditional rangoli, lanterns etc. The Sr.Citizens presented a cultural programme. Sweet packets were also distributed to all Sr.Citizens as a token of love.
2) Activity : Recreation Programme through picnic activity
Objective : To provide the recreation facility for Sr.Citizens
We had arranged one day picnic at holy places of Sai Baba temple at Panvel Ekvira Devi, Prati Shridi Sai Baba, Ganpati at Mahad, Alandi and Tulapur. In all 38 Sr.Citizens alongwith the five social workers participated in the picnic. All of them have enjoyed the picnic.
3) Activity : Sports competition
Objective : To provide entertainment through different competition
We had organized various sports competitions for Sr.Citizens for two days i.e. 19th and 20th December 2006 All Sr.Citizens actively participated in sports competitions and all of them have enjoyed the same. The prizes were distributed to the winners on 13th January 2007 on the occasion of Annual Felicitation programme of CASP Mumbai Unit at Nutan Kharude Municipal Corporation Mandai Hall at Century Bazar Worli, Mumbai. The Sr.Citizens expressed their gratitude towards the programme being organized for them.

4) Activity : Celebration of Makar Sankrant
Objective : To celebrate the festival and also observe the culture
Taking in to consideration, the above mentioned objective, we had organized Haldi Kumkum celebration an eve of Makar Sankrant on 13 th January 2006 one day advance. All women Sr.Citizens actively participated in the programme.
5) Disaster Management :
Ms. Shilpa Joshi, teacher alongwith five Sr.Citizens participated in Disaster Management programme organized by Dr.Bhatkhande Association on 19 th January 2007 which was helpful to manage any emergency situation..
6) Visit of BCPT officials :
Ms.Utpala Thakkar, Project Officer from Bombay Community Public Trust visited Sr.Citizen centre on 15 th December 2006 . She had a healthy discussion with Sr.Citizens on activities being implemented for them. She was quite impressed with the same.
b) Day Care Centre for Sr.Citizens at INDIRA GANDHI MAHILA VIKAS KENDRA, Andheri
We are very pleased to inform you that A.C. International Child support, Denmark has sanctioned the project to implement a Day Care Centre for Sr.Citizens with effect from August 2006 at Indira Gandhi Mahila Vikas Kendra, Marol Pipe Line, Andheri . In all 35 Sr.Citizens were present throughout the year.
The main objectives of this programmme was :
To maintain the normal health of Senior Citizens
To provide psychological support to Senior Citizens
To update their general knowledge of Sr.Citizens from time to time
During the period under report, the following activities were implemented for Sr.Citizens.

A Medical check-up of Sr. Citizens was organized on 23 rd and 24 th January 2007 with the financial support of Larsen & Toubro Co. Powai, Mumbai. In all total 29 Sr.Citizens were medically examined by the team of Doctors. It was found through medical check-up that the majority Sr.Citizens were suffering from Osteoporosis, blood pressure, blood sugar etc. The prescribed medicines were provided to the patients.
iv ) Outreach programme for Sr. Citizens :
CASP Mumbai Unit, Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry i.e. Larsen & Toubro, Nerolac Paints, , Bharat Petroleum etc. had jointly organized a collaborative outreach programme for Sr.Citizens on 27/1/2007 from 11.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. at YWCA , Andheri, Mumbai in which 61 senior citizens of two centres of CASP Mumbai Unit, Senior Citizens of Lions Club of Chembur and Vile Parle participated in Senior citizens outreach programme. An inauguration of the programme was done at the hands of Mr.Ashok Sainee , Vice President of Nerolac Paints. The Senior Executives from Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr.Raju Vice President, Larsen & Toubro and Ms.Sanyogta Raina, Manager-Corporate Social Initiatives, Larsen & Toubro Limited, Prof.(Mrs.) Asha Rane, Vice Chairperson of CASP Mumbai Unit and staff members attended the programme. Prof. Asha Rane delivered the speech to the audience about CASP programmes/activities.A skit on “Mano Vikas” were presented through role play by Institute of Psychology Health Thane . The folk songs were presented by Shree Mukti Sanghatana, Mumbai. Afternoon session was started with interactive games by L & T Volunteers. The prizes were given to winners (Sr.Citizens) at the hands of Mr.Raju, Vice President of Larsen & Toubro Co. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr. T.G.Pawar . It was observed that the programmes was well organized and all the senior citizens have enjoyed and gained the knowledge through variety of programmes.
Supervision and follow-up of day care centres for Sr. Citizens :
Concerned Social workers supervise and monitor both the centres and reports to the Project Manager regularly. Project Manager also regularly visits the centre and held regular meetings of teachers, sr. citizens for follow up of the activities.
Mrs. Sudha Joshi , Chairperson and Prof. Asha Rane, Vice Chairperson, CASP Mumbai Unit provide regular guidance to implement the activities of Day Care Centre in a better fashion.
Tailoring Unit :
v) Activity : Tailoring Unit at Indira Gandhi Mahila Vikas Kendra
Objective : To provide the skill training i.e. tailoring to increase the family's Income
Tailoring Unit is being conducted at Indira Gandhi Mahila Vikas Kendra,. Anmdheri. In all total 25 girls/women have taken training during the period under report. The beneficiaries found the said tailoring course is very useful as they tried to earn somehow by taking stitching orders. In this way they are developing their skills and earning money for their livelihood.
vi) Activity : Training in embroidery and Imitation Jewellery making
Objective : To develop inherent skills and knowledge among women
CASP Mumbai Unit had organized training programmes in embroidery and imitation Jewellery for community women from October to December 2006 at Indira Gandhi Mahila Vikas Kendra, Andheri, Mumbai. In all total 15. Women and five girls have taken training in embroidery and imitation jewellery. They learnt variety of embroidery designs, handicrafts, preparation of various types bangles, necklaces etc.
Balwadi : CASP Mumbai Unit runs a Balwadi for 3 to 5 years children at Indira Gandhi Mahila Vikas Kendra, Andheri.
In all total 22 children participated in pre-school education (Balwadi) during the period under report. Balwadi teacher had taken efforts to create an interest among children to provide education through different teaching aids. All children enjoyed the pre-school education throughout the year.
II) Mid day meal programme for School Children :
CASP Mumbai Unit also implemented mid day meal programme for 1850 school going children in eight schools from Vikhroli Park site during the period under report. The main objective of this programme was to improve the health status and scholastic performance of the children through providing nutritious mid day meal and milk to the children.

The children have received nutritious mid day meal with milk regularly . In addition to this, as per the Doctor's recommendations CASP had also provided tonics to the children found severely malnourished
* Mahila Mandal is being distributing meal and milk to Ravi Kiran Vidyalaya children sponsored by Dr.Shankaran and Mrs.Vyoma Nair.
* Mahila Mandal is distributing Meal & Milk to Vivek vidyalaya Children under mid day meal programme sponsored by Dr,.Shankaran and Mrs.Vyoma Nair, U.S.A.
The review of the mid day meal programme was done on quarterly basis with CASP authorities and sponsor Dr.Shankaran and Mrs.Vyoma Nair through video conference meeting at Nair & Co. Andheri and also in the Advisory Committee meeting.
Medical Check-up :
Quarterly Medical check-ups of 1371 children were organized during the period under report. The medical check-up reports and scholastic performance reports were regularly discussed in the video conference and Advisory committee meeting. It was observed through Medical check-up report that the health status of children has improved satisfactorily.
President's visit to Mid day Meal Programme :
CASP President Shri B.G.Deshmukh (IAS) Retd visited the mid day meal programme on 13 th March 2007 at Vikhroli Parksite. Mr. T. G. Pawar and Ms. Shyla Din John accompanied him and appraised him regarding the mid day meal programme.
Shri. Deshmukh had a meeting with three Mahila Mandals and had a discussion about the system and procedure of mid day meal progrmme i.e. weekly menu, preparation of food ,Timing of mid day meal , cleanliness of community kitchens etc. He discussed the quality and quantity of meal and milk and also saw the community kitchen.
CASP President visited two schools viz. Agrasen Hindi Vidyalaya and Vidyadeep Vidyalala and had a discussion with children about mid day meal. Mahila Mandals and school children had good interaction with Shri. B.G. Deshmukh.
Health Education session :
During the period under report, the parents meeting was organized in which health education sessions on the following topics were given to the parents :-
1) Health and Hygiene of children and family members
2) Importance of nutritious diet.
Dr. Ajey Shinde was the resource person for health education programme. There was active participation of parents by asking their questions, queries etc. to the resource person. Such type of health education sessions will be definitely beneficial for the parents and the children for awareness amongst them regarding their health. In addition to this programme, Haldi kum Kum programme for women was also organized on the same day. In all total 500 women were participated in the programme.. The Corporator of Vikhroli Park Site area, Dr. Ajey Shinde and Ms. Shyla Din attended the programme
Renewal of Public liability non industrail risk policy :
We had drawn the Public Liability Non Industrial Risk Policy from United India Insurance Co. Ltd. for one year period. The same has been renewed from 29th January 2007 to 28 th January 2008 for 1100 children of mid day meal programme. The total cost of Insurance Policy is of Rs.7,835.47 inclusive of service taxes. The main objective of this policy is to cover any unforeseen incidents from the food consumption. We are making every effort to keep the hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen and food to the highest standards. The said policy will cover any claim such as hospitalization, medical treatment, and death etc. arising out of the aforesaid activities for any one accident of Rs.5.00 lakhs (Rs.five lakhs only) and any one year would be of Rs.10.00 lalkhs (Rs.ten lakhs only).
Sponsorship Programme :
1) Foster care project ( Bal Sangopan Yojana) :
CASP MUMBAI Unit had submitted 500 cases to Dist. Mahila and Bal Vikas Office at Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburban i.e. 250 cases each office under foster Care Scheme (Bal Sangopan Yojana) of Govt.of Maharashtra. We are pleased to inform you that, after submitting the required documents to the Dist.Mahila and Bal Vikas office at Mumbai city and Suburban, the Commissioner of Mahila and Bal Vikas, Maharashtra State , Pune sanctioned our request for 500 cases of Mumbai city and Suburban. Accordingly, we have received the sanction order from both the offices and the copies of the same orders have already been sent to CASP HO vide our letter No. CASP/MU/1314 dated 27th February 2007 . On the basis of sanctioned order, Dist office for Mahila and Bal Vikas Office, Mumbai city has sanctioned grant for 100 children for the year 2006-07.
Aid distribution of Bal Sangopan Yojana :
CASP Mumbai Unit and Dist. Office for Mahila and Bal Vikas had jointly organized aid distribution function on 14th March 2007 at Shreyas Chambers, 175 D. N. Road, Mumbai. The demand drafts were handed over to 100 beneficiaries at the hands of CASP President Shri B.G.Deshmukh, Chairperson – Mrs.Sudha Joshi , Vice Chairperson- Mrs. Asha Rane and Dist.Officer Mr.Rahul More. Shri B. G. Deshmukh, President of CASP and Mrs. Sudha Joshi appreciated the aid sanctioned for the needy and deserving children. They also provided guidance to the parents for better utilization of the aid. Shri Rahul More also assured to provide maximum co-operation to CASP to implement this scheme. Regarding the 250 suburban cases, we have received a Demand Draft favouring CASP Mumbai Unit of Rs.7,50,000/- (Rs.seven lakhs fifty thousand only) for 250 children @ Rs.425/- per month per child and Admn.Charges @ Rs.75/- per child per month for the period of 6 months i.e. from October 2006 to March 2007.

2) K. C. Mahindra Education Trust :
CASP is associated with K.C. Mahindra Education Trust, Mumbai since 1999-2000. This is a project called “ Nanhi Kali' The Trust insists on selecting small girl children at the time of entry in the age group of 3½ years to 8 years. The Trust has sponsored 200 Nanhi Kalies from Janata Shikshan Sanstha's primary and Secondary school – Worli and G.A. Ranade School – Girgaon , Adarsh Nagar Municipal school No.1 to 4 – Worli etc.. CASP Mumbai Unit has provided educational aid to 200 girl children ( Nanhi Kalies ).
3) Mumbai Port Trust, Mumbai :
Mumbai Port Trust had sponsored 20 physically and mentally handicapped children during the period under report. During the period under report regular home visits and school visits were made to these cases and regular follow-up was maintained by the concerned social worker. The social worker had also provided motivation, counseling and guidance to the parents and sponsored children. During the period under report, Twenty children were provided assistance for the education and medical treatment.
Celebration of National Handicapped Day :
CASP has celebrated National Handicapped Day with physically and mentally handicapped children of Mumbai Port Trust Employees on 3rd December 2006. In all total 20 handicapped children and their parents were participated in the programme. The concerned Development Promoter explained the aims and objective of the programme. The drawing competition of handicapped children was also organized on occasion of the National Handicapped day. The Cultutal programme was presented by the handicapped children. The tea and snacks were provided to children and parents.
Recreation programme through Picnic :
A picnic of sponsored children of Mumbai Port Trust employees organized on 16/12/2006 for Mumbai City Darshan. In all total 15 physically handicapped children alongwith their parents participated in the picnic. Children gained the knowledge through aquarium, historical places etc. All of them enjoyed and expressed their sincere thanks to CASP/MPT towards picnic organized for them.

4) Meritorious project (Under Development Fund) :
Sponsored by A. C. International Child Support, Denmark
CASP Mumbai Unit has selected 50 meritorious children those were scholar and could not afford to continue their Higher education i.e. Engineering, Medical etc. due to their poor financial condition. We have utilized the development funds for 50 children's education.

In all total 50 meritorious children have received the educational aid i.e. college fees, coaching class fees, Stationary, note books from CASP to complete their higher education.
We are also proud to say that one girl child viz. Kusalkar Meenal Vasant– file No.27095/SH was doing her 2 nd year MBBS in J.J. Medical college, Mumbai and Sujata Mulik – File No.27719/SH was doing her 2 nd year M.Sc.
We would like to highlight herewith the two successful case histories which
are as follows :-
1) Mulik Sujata Aravind - File No. 27719/SH :
Sujata is a sponsored girl child under Meritorious Project. She was studying in first year of M.Sc (Master in Science) with the specialization in Chemistry subject. She stays alone in Mumbai and her family stays at native place. Besides studies, Sujata is fond of singing. She has stage confidence. She also does certificate course in German Language. She scored 68% marks in final year of Bachelor of Science.
Sujata's family consists of four members i.e. parents, her younger brother Siddhesh and she herself. Except Sujata all the family stays at native place. Her parents do farming work and brother Siddhesh is continuing his secondary education at native place.
Sujata stays alone. Sujata is working as part time clerk in coaching class –i.e. Abhyacika Coaching Classes and earns Rs.700/- per month. She also joins Orchestra (Singing Group) and sometime takes orders and tries to earn somehow to fulfill her own expenses. Sujata keeps contacts with her parents through letter. Sujata stays in small room house which has electricity and water facility. Sujata would like to complete the Master degree in Science (M.Sc)and would like to do good job in education sector in future.
2) Kusalkar Minal Vasant - File No. 27095/SH :
Minal is a 21 years old wheat complexion and good looking girl. She is tall in height. Minal was studying in second year of MBBS in Grant Medical College, Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals. She attends morning session. She is good in studies. She goes to the college regularly. Her favourite hobby is reading General Knowledge books, History of great man and dancing also.
Minal's family consists of her mother, maternal uncle, elder sisters and she herself.
Minal's father deserted the family since last 21 years. Since then mother has to look after the family. Meenal's mother is a housewife.. Two elder sisters Manisha and Neelam are working in private company. Meenal is the youngest child in the family. Paternal grandmother and maternal uncle also stay along with them. Minal's uncle helps the family financially. The house belongs to maternal grandfather. The family stay in a slum area.. The family has electricity facility. They have to pay Rs.200/- per month as electricity charges. Water and toilet facilities are common to all community people, which are provided by Municipal Corporation, Mumbai. Minal would like to complete her Graduation in medicines and also would like to provide the health services for poor community people in future.
Great Achievement :
We are proud to say that Vijendra Prakash Bapardekar – File No. 27703/SH scored 92.30% marks in Secondary School Examination held on 2006-07. He stood first in all 49 B M C schools.Vijendra's case is sponsored by A.C. International Child Support, Denmark under Meritorious Project . His case was assigned in March 2005. At that time he was studying in 8 th std. in Prabhadevi Municipal school.Vijendra's father is working as a worker in press and earns Rs.3500/- per month and mother is a housewife. His elder brother Pramod is studying in S.Y.B.Com in Kirti College .
Prakash intends to take admission in Science Stream and wish to do MBA in future.

Education -
1) Activity : Educational ADI Distribution
Objective : To continue the education of sponsored children by providing the educational aid to sponsored children
According to the need of beneficiaries, CASP Mumbai Unit has provided educational aid to sponsored children like School uniform, bag, umbrella, stationary materials like compass box, colour box, pen, pencil etc. to continue the education of sponsored children smoothly.
2) Activity : Annual Felicitation Programme for sponsored children
Objective : To encourage the children for their scholastic performance
We had organized annual felicitation programme on 13th January 2007 at Nutan Kharude Municipal Corporation Mandai Hall at Century Bazar Worli, Mumbai to felicitate the children those who have scored above 75% marks in the annual examination held in April 2006. In all total 201 children were felicitated in the function at the hands of Mr.Prashant Shah, Chief Labour Officer, Mumbai Port Trust. The Chief Guest had appreciated the performance of the sponsored children in his speech. Smt. Sudha Joshi, Chairperson presided over the programme. The sponsored children performed the cultural programme which was appreciated by all.
Annual Felicitation Function – Prizes is being given to sponsored children at the hands of Chief Guest – Mr. Prashant Shah, Labour Officer, MPT, Mumbai.

Nutrition -
Activity : Nutritious food grain material distribution
Objective : To improve the health status of sponsored children and family members
Taking in to consideration of the above mentioned objective, the families were provided nutritious food grain materials from Yusuf Meheraly Centre.. Each family was received the following type of nutritional food grain material, which was useful for all family members for every day meal.

The Nutrition programme for sponsored children and their families have enabled to improve their health status.
Health :
3) Activity : General Medical check-up of sponsored children
Objective : To know and to improve the health status of sponsored children
To achieve the above-mentioned objective, the medical check up for sponsored children and their mothers was organized on 23rd and 24th January 2007 at Indira Gandhi Mahila Vikas Kendra, Andheri and from 13th to 15th February 2006 at CASP Mumbai Unit office at K. K. Marg Municipal School, 3rd Floor, Mumbai.
A team of Doctors from Nair Hospital, medically examined the children and mothers. On the basis of Doctor's report, the suspected serious illness/diseases were referred for further diagnosis and treatment. Prescribed medicines were provided to the children.

Fund Raising Programme :
CASP Mumbai Unit had organized fund raising programme through Drama i.e. Dadachi Girl friend on 25/12/2006 at 7.30 p.m. at Shivaji Mandir, Dadar. Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and all staff members tried their best to make a success of the programme. In all total Rs.1,14,540/- were received as a net income through fund raising programme.
Sponsor Visit :
Sponsor Ms. Jette Wurtz from A.C.International Child Support, Denmark and Mrs. Sushama Joshi , Dy. Executive Director (Prog) CASP visited CASP Mumbai Unit on 9th March 2007. We had organized a meeting of 50 meritorious children at Indira Gandhi Mahila Vikas Kendra, Andheri. She had discussion with each meritorious student and through discussion, she was quite impressed of cases presented by Kusalkar Meenal Vasant– file No.27095/SH who is doing her 2 nd year MBBS in J.J. Medical college, Mumbai and Sujata Mulik – File No.27719/SH and who is doing her 2 nd year M.Sc .
She also made two home visits i.e. Shreeya Gurav – 27662/SH and Sambridhi Naik – 27885/SH. She had discussion with their parents about their scholastic performance and socio economic condition of the family. Families expressed their sincere thanks to the sponsor by providing the educational assistance for their education. Ms. Jette also visited to tailoring class and Day Care Centre for Sr.Citizens at Indira Gandhi mahila Vikas Kendra. She had also discussion with the Sr.Citizens about their daily life. The cultural programme was also preformed by the Sr. Citizens.
Report on activities on CASP Nagpur sub unit :
CASP Mumbai Unit has its sub unit at Nagpur having 105-cases. The various programmes/activities were implemented during the period under report.
The details are as follows :-
1) Educational AID Distribution :
CASP Nagpur Unit had distributed the educational aids to the sponsored children such as school dress, shoes, socks, school bag, text books, note books, stationary material, drawing material, umbrella, raincoat etc.
2) Craft Training Programme :
CASP Nagpur unit had organized craft training programme on 15th October 2006 for sponsored children and parents. This programme was taken in two parts . First was taken of making phenol and liquid soap training programme. Resource Persons Mrs. Kavita Dev and Ms.Pratibha Bhoyer from Mahila Bahuuddeshiya Kendra , Nagpur were the resource person for training programme. They demonstrated of making phenol and liquid soap and also given information about the utilization of the products. The second training programme was organized of flower making in different types. The resource person Mrs. Sadawarde had given training in flower of different types. Some children have made flowers under the guidance of the resource person.Programme concluded with vote of thanks for the chief guests and parents.

3) Health Check-up Programme :
Medical check-up camp was organized on 26th November 2006 for children with the collaboration of Nagpur Pride Jaycees Agency. Mr. Myurwani, President and Mr. Trilok Thakre, Vice President of Pride Jaycess, Nagpur and Dr.(Mrs.) Rashmi Bansal – Dentist, Dr. (Mrs) Arati Kalbande – Gynecologist , Dr. Kalbande, ENT specialist, Dr.(Ms) Manisha Karanjewla – Physician, Dr. Kottewar- Dentist present for the programme.
Dr. Kalbande and Mr. Myurwani also given information about health to the parents and children. After the inauguration, Doctors have medically checked all the children and parents. The prescribed medicines were given to children and parents.
4) Children's day celebration :
The NGO from Nagpur city organized a rally on the occasion of Children's day celebration on 14th November 2006. CASP Nagpur Unit actively participated in the rally organized by Vardaan (IAPA), Nagpur. CASP Nagpur participated Rally on 14/11/06 with Vardaan (IAPA) Nagpur.
5) Annual Felicitation Programme :
Annual Felicitation programme was organized on 7th December 2006 for children those have scored more than 70% marks in the annual examination for the year 2005-06. CASP Mumbai unit Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Joshi was the chief Guest for the programme. Smt. Kusumtai Wankar, President, Gandhi Smarak Niddhi and Mrs. Ruma Datta , President, Sankalpa mahila Samiti were also present for the programme. After lighting lamp, CASP sponsored girls Kum. Suchitra Bagadeand Amruta, presented prayer dance. Prizes were distributed at the hands of Mrs. Sudha Joshi. In all total 34 children were felicitated in the programme.
There was special gift presented by Mr. Ashok Waze in the memory of Mrs. Arati Waze to Niraj Jamdar who obtained 84.66% marks in 8th std. Mrs. Sudha Joshi, Chairperson of CASP Mumbai Unit delivered the speech and also provided guidance to all the children for their future career and also encouraged all parents and sponsors. The programme concluded with vote of thanks. Annual Felicitation function organized at CASP Nagpur Unit–Smt. Sudha Joshi inaugurating the function lightening the lamp.
6) Picnic for Sponsored Children :
CASP Nagpur Unit had arranged a picnic at Ghodazari for sponsored children on 4th February 2007. In all total 60 children were present for the picnic. Ghodazari is a beautiful spot for picnic. There is large lake and beautiful family and Children Park . This area has been developed by forest department. All children were enjoyed with toys in the children's park. They also enjoyed boating, dancing etc. in Ghodazari lake. Sponsored children of CASP Nagpur Unit enjoying the picnic.
7) Computer training Programme :
CASP Nagpur had organized computer training programme for needy and deserving children. The programme was sponsored by Power Grid and Sankalp Mahila Samiti, Nagpur. The duration of the programme was six months i.e. from 1st December 2006 to May 2007. This training programme covered MS office, D.T.P and Tally. In all ten children participated in the computer training programme.
