• Celebration of Haldi kum kum : On the occasion of Makarsankranti We have arranged a Haldi Kumkum function and sports competitions of DCC children at village Narangi.In the morning the sports competitions i.e.Langadi,Running and Writing Words etc were organized. All the children participated in it with lot of enthusiasm and they also lilked to play on slide. Everybody participated in the competition has been awarded by the nice gift packet containing a scale, gum bottle, eraser, sharpner.big pencil etc. All the children liked the gift very and were very much happy to receive it.
The same function was arranged at DCC Shirki on 28th Jan 09 and at DCC Vavoshi on 29th Jan 09. The mothers of the sponsored children and women from the villages attended the function. They were given Tilgul(Sweet),Flower, A packet of Beetlelut and coffee through CASP.
To celebrate the function we invited Sarpanch and other well known personalities of the village. The children of DCC Shirki and Vavoshi performed dance and drama on that occasion and made the function colourful.
• Creativity Workshop : A creativity workshop was arranged for the DCC children at Shirki on 4th Feb 09. The children were very much curious to Know about the creativity Workshop and were very much happy as for the first time they were attending this type of workshop.
Mrss Devangi Khedekar very nicely taught the different things to DCC children. She mixed with them and taught them the skills of how to colour the picture neatly, orgami, decoration on the paper, thumb painting and to make different shapes etc.and drawings. The children were provided with all the essential material required for the workshop by CASP. They were also given a packet of Biscuits. The same type of Creativity Workshop was arraned at DCC Vavoshi and DCC Narangi on 5th Feb 09. The workshop was also arranged on the same lines as arranged at Shirki. All the children liked the teacher and they learnt many new things. Through this workshop the children got a chance to show their hidden talents.

Medical Checkup Camp : A medical checkup Camp of the children of Three DCC's was arranged in the month of March 09. Dr. Mohan Malgaonkar a well known pediatrician along with Dr. Ajay Kadam checked all the children. The medical checkup was arranged at Shirki on 3rd March 09. All the 30 children were present for the medical checkup. Dr. Malgaonkar guided all the parents and children regarding the personal health and hygiene and solve the qurries asked by the parents. The medical checkup at Vavoshi and Narangi was arranged on 4th March 09.
As per the suggestion of the Doctor all the children were given two tablets to be taken by 15 days gap i.e. Zental (Deworming Tab). Except for petty illness, the health of the children is normal.
Picnics of the DCC Children : An excursion of the DCC children at Vavoshi was arranged on 18 th March 09 to Parle-Glucose Company at Village- Donvat. The manager welcomed all the sponsored children and the staff members given the useful information regarding the process of preparing biscuits. All the children were very much happy and enjoyed the visit a lot. The children were given snacks i.e.Vada pav and cakes.
An excursion of the DCC Children of Shirki was arranged on 19 th March 09 to Sai Mandir and Gajnan Maharaj Mandir at Pen and Swami Samarth Mandir at Swarsai. Children enjoyed the picnic by singing songs and clapping on the rhythmic songs throughout the travel. All the children returned home with lot of happiness and joy. They have been given snacks i.e. Samosa and Gulabjamoon. They liked it very much.
On 20th March 09 an Excursion was arranged for the DCC children of Narangi to the famous Ganapati Temple at Pali. They enjoyed watching the famous hot water springs at Unhere near Pali(In this pond always remain hot). The children enjoyed singing songs, telling stories, clapping on the songs, giving slogans during the journey. They were given delicious snacks i.e. Bhel and Wafers.
Mid day meal : The children of the Day care center get nutritious food everyday which is prepared hygienically by the DCC attendant. The children like the food very much. They enjoy good health due to the nutritious food given to them. The height and weight monitoring of the children is done after every three months.
Excursion : On the occasion of Women's Day we have received a request from the mothers of the sponsored children regarding the one day picnic to be arranged for them. Accordingly through AC. International Development Fund , One day excursion was arranged to Alibag and Salav Birla Mandir for the 45 women at Gorthan and
Vavoshi Village . We hired a tempo and provided snacks to everyone i.e. Bhel, Ice cream etc. Some women also enjoyed drinking coconut water on the sea shore at Alibag. The women were very much delighted and were very much happy. They enjoyed the songs during journey. Sitting on a Horse carriage was a totally new experience for them and they enjoyed it very much.
All the women given thanks to CASP as only because of them they are able to enjoy a lot.
